Trees

Trees
I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

What ever your symbol be for celebrating these very special seasons, may all your stars shine bright and long.

Dancing With The Stars

Well it is over for 2010 Saturday Sampler. If anyone still has not picked up their December blocks, we will have them available until Jan 1st. After that they will go into the extra block basket and are available for sale for $5.00 each. It was really nice to see so many of you today and I appreciated all the nice compliments you gave us on this past year's Saturday Sampler. Many of you bought extra blocks and fabrics to make your quilts bigger or to make another quilt. I consider that the best compliment. Thank you. We still have yardage of the black and whites and yardage of the purple accent fabric along with the jet black. It won't last long, so if you are planning on needing more, now would be the time to get it.
Again thank you and hope to see you all next year....it is a much different quilt. Very traditional red and white school house quilt...or blue and white...your choice.
Happy Stitching and goodnight,
Mardi
